RentPlus Common Questions from Property Managers and Operations

RentPlus is a financial tool that is available to your Residents. RentPlus will report their on-time rent payments to the Credit Bureaus. In addition to the on-time rent reporting, your residents can access RentPlus Money, ID Theft Insurance, and Real-Time Credit Monitoring at no added cost.

RentPlus is intentionally designed to focus on the positive reinforcement of good habits. We will only report your resident’s on-time payments and never negatively report a late payment. Your residents will pay their rent to the leasing office as standard practice. RentPlus will obtain the on-time rent payment history and send it to the credit bureaus.

Yes! We automatically back-report rent payments for residents free of change for up to 24 months as long as the property management system contains payment history and the resident has lived in the same unit.

On-time rent payments are reported each month for the previous month’s rent. After initial enrollment, it typically takes the credit bureaus 30-40 days before the payments are reflected on their credit report.

Residents will see the RentPlus charge on the first of the month following their enrollment. If the community offers a trial, the resident will see that charge on the month following the trial ending. The RentPlus charge appears as a line item on the resident ledger.
